Desperately Seeking Sentimental Purse

Hello,

I know this is a needle in a haystack scenario, but I am in desperate search of a purse that once belonged to my mother. She purchased the purse sometime in the late 1970's in San Francisco and it was a hobo style, brown, very fine leather, and if I remember it correctly, had large brass rings where the straps met the purse. I cannot remember if it had a zipper or a clasp. I also do not know if it was purchased at a specialty boutique or a department store of some kind, but I do know that it was quite expensive, equivalent to today's Coach prices.

To make a long story short, the purse was stolen at a restaurant within a few years of her purchase. I have searched a good part of my adult life in the hopes of finding a replacement purse identical to the one she once had. My mother speaks of this purse as one of her most favorite possesions over the years. My mother was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and I am hoping to make this upcoming holiday one of joy by possibly and finally finding this purse for her.

If anyone has any information on how I might track this down, I would be most grateful. Thank you for your time and I will gladly take any advice on this you may have to share.

egards, Kristina
